If you’ve started shopping for permanent outdoor lighting, you’ve probably run into four names: Trimlight, Jellyfish Lighting, Gemstone Lights, and Everlights. We install Trimlight. But we get asked the comparison question constantly, so here’s our honest, side-by-side take.
Channel design
Trimlight uses a patented aluminum channel that’s notably narrower and shallower than competitors — about 1″ tall and tucked tight to the eave.
Smart app
All four offer smart-app control with scenes, scheduling, and color picking. Trimlight’s app is the most mature in our experience.
Warranty

What we’d choose for a Franklin home
We’re biased — we install Trimlight. But the reason we install Trimlight (and not the others) is that the channel disappears most cleanly into Tennessee architecture, the app is the most reliable, and the warranty is the easiest to actually use.
