Yes, in most cases. The Trimlight system is designed to pair to your home WiFi for remote control via the smart app. However, we can’t guarantee a successful pairing on every network because of variables outside our control: router/modem type, firewall settings, signal obstacles, interference from other smart devices, etc. In Middle Tennessee, we’ve successfully paired with AT&T fiber, Xfinity/Comcast, Google Fiber (Nashville), local cable providers, and most rural WISP services. For homes with thick brick or stone construction (common in Brentwood and Belle Meade estates) we sometimes recommend a WiFi extender near the garage controller location.

Typically LED diodes with lenses fade or discolor over time from sun exposure. Trimlight’s residential lighting has no lens or covering — the LED faces directly out of the channel — which means Trimlight LEDs don’t fade, cloud, or yellow like many other exterior LEDs do. The residential bulbs also point down and slightly below the channel, which further protects them from direct sun. Trimlight comes with a Lifetime Product Warranty. Call Northpoint Trimlight in Franklin and we’ll schedule the replacement. Depending on the install location and labor warranty terms on your specific quote, you may or may not pay a small labor fee. The faulty product itself is covered under the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty for the full 50,000-hour lifespan.
